Netflix has exclusive comedy specials with big stars like Dave Chappelle and Ricky Gervais, but the streaming service has faced backlash for working with them due to transphobic jokes included in the specials.
Now, the company’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos is defending the comedians again amid all of the backlash. Ted did an interview with The New York Times‘ Maureen Dowd in which he said that comedians have to cross “the line every once in a while” to figure out where the line is.
