Netflix horror with Rotten Tomatoes score of just 47 per cent leaves viewers unable to sleep

Netflix viewers are reporting that a horror film has left them too scared to sleep. Wounds is a 2019 horror film featuring Armie Hammer and Dakota Johnson.

It is written and directed by Babak Anvari who has become known for his psychological horror films. It is based on the novella The Visible Filth by Nathan Ballingrud and follows Will (played by Armie), a New Orleans-based bartender who works at a run down bar.

One day, his ex-girlfriend Alicia (played by Zazie), her current boyfriend Jeffrey, and a drunk man called Eric alongside some university students enter the bar, the Mirror reports. In a panic, all the university students run out of the bar, with Will noticing one left their phone behind. When he gets home to his girlfriend Carrie (played by Dakota), he begins receiving messages on the stranger's phone from a person who claims something from the 'tunnel' is following him.
