Neighbours heard 'massive bang' after ambulance flipped over in crash that caused 'havoc'

An ambulance was knocked onto its side closing a main road for a number of hours this morning (March 12). The collision happened between two cars and the ambulance around 8am in Mottram in Longdendale.

The smash happened on Mottram Moor, near the junction with Stalybridge Road and Market Street, causing long delays in the area.

Police, fire, and ambulance crews were rushed to the scene shutting Mottram Moor until around midday. No injuries were reported from the collision.

Residents reported on social media hearing a 'massive bang' before emergency services rushed to the scene which led to traffic 'chaos' and 'havoc' in the area.
