Since the news of her death was announced, many events and programmes on television were cancelled out of respect for the Queen.
This year's NTAs, which was due to happen on Thursday, September 15, have been pushed back by a month.In a statement today, a spokesperson confirmed: "ITV and Indigo Television have taken the decision to reschedule this year’s National Television Awards; the ceremony will now take place on Thursday, October 13, live from the OVO Arena Wembley."In a Tweet posted to the official account, it was also confirmed: "To reflect the period of national mourning, viewer voting is also being paused.
The public vote will resume at 9am on Tuesday, September 20, and remain open until the day of the ceremony."This year’s ceremony will be hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, and sees the likes of Alison Hammond, Ant McPartlin & Declan Donnelly, Bradley Walsh, and Graham Norton go head to head hoping to bag the best tv presenter honour.
