'My 11-year-old daughter is battling devastating diagnosis - yet still did this'

Tallulah Serns has been through a lot lately. The 11-year-old is currently undergoing treatment for leukaemia but, in the middle of her treatment, the incredible youngster's main focus hasn't been on herself.

While being treated on Ward 86 at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, she had an idea. Tallulah decided to bring some joy to all the others being treated on the ward which specialises in caring for those with cancer, leukaemia, and non-malignant haematology disorders.

The Failsworth High pupil set up a Go Fund Me Page and in two days raised £1,000. She spent the money buying 46 squishmellow soft toys which she then gave out to youngsters on the ward. One little girl had just come back from treatment at The Christie and we placed one on her bed - it was wonderful to watch Tallulah give them out." Joanna, from Moston, Manchester, added: "Tallulah was diagnosed in April.
