Mum stranded abroad as Covid rules mean teen daughter must isolate for 21 days

mum has been left stranded abroad after new Covid rules brought into place mean that her teenage daughter must isolate for 21 days.

April Allinson tested positive for coronavirus the day before she was due to return home from her holiday along with her 13-year-old teen daughter Ellie and her friend Lilly.

The three were required to spend 10 days of isolation in their hotel suite and were due to be freed on July 30 and fly back to the UK on July 31.The Mirror reports that the Spanish Embassy has now said that the two teens must quarantine for a further 10 days - bringing their total isolation duration to 21 days.

April, who owns her own beauty business in Stockton-On-Tees, Durham, said that the authorities have decided the two young girls.
