Morgan Whittaker will remain a Swansea City player unless Rangers can get even close to the English Championship club's valuation. The attacker is a target for Michael Beale and City boss Martin had said before their 1-1 draw against QPR that Whittaker would be involved amid the transfer talk.
But a decision to leave him out of their squad at Loftus Road was taken after it was deemed the talent who shone on loan at Plymouth at the start of the season wasn't in the right head space.Martin, according to BBC Wales, said that he was disappointed Whittaker couldn't be involved but "expects him to stay at the club as Swansea and Rangers are still apart in their valuations." The Swans boss explained: "Nothing has changed.
We have not received any new bids and nothing has changed except for Morgan's frame of mind. We had agreed he was going to be in the squad and then Morgan told me just after my press conference on Friday that he wasn't in the right frame of mind to be in the squad or to travel."It is disappointing, we'd have loved for him to be involved today.
I think he could have made a difference, it would have been a good game for him to come on and be involved in."I can't see how a deal gets done with how far apart the two clubs are.
