Miracle drug offers chance of longer life for Coatbridge mum battling breast cancer

Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A YOUNG Coatbridge mum who was given less than 12 months to live after a gruelling breast cancer battle has hailed her team of hero doctors for giving her a chance of life.Natalie Sanders was diagnosed with Grade 3 Triple-Negative breast cancer in October 2019.The 30-year-old, who also has the faulty BRCA gene, began extensive treatment and was told she was cancer free in May last year.But just one month later, a painful build up of fluid in her right breast caused concern and doctors discovered she had Grade 4 Metastatic breast cancer.She was told she had between six and 12-months to live, forcing her to seek alternative treatments in a bid to spend.
