Smith is one of the longest serving stars in Gorgie having made 158 appearances since signing in 2017 and has seen the ups and downs having been relegated in the covid-curtailed season two years ago.
But he’s been a key man in Hearts’ Premiership resurgence which sees them sit clear in third spot and nine points off Celtic in second ahead of the top flight restart.
