law enforcement in history, as a small religious community known as the Branch Davidians led by David Koresh withstood a raid by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).
Four ATF agents and six civilians were left dead and dozens more were wounded during the battle. A 51-day standoff ensued, and the conflict ended after an FBI assault led to a fire that engulfed the compound, killing 76 men, women and children.Leguizamo received an Emmy nomination for his “Waco” role as Jacob Vasquez, an ATF agent who blows the whistle on the disastrous siege.
