Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Michael Gardyne cleared over Rangers allegations as SFA drop charges against Ross County veteran

Rangers stars after the SFA dropped their charge. The veteran winger was cited by the compliance officer for aiming derisory and homophobic comments at Connor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos in their Global Energy Stadium clash on Hogmanay.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard had come out and made the claims on behalf of his players after the game and urged County to investigate.

The Highlanders did launch their own investigation and cleared Gardyne of any wrongdoing. Gardyne’s representative, Tom Callaghan, had also confirmed to the player’s comment had been 'f***y' and had not been of a homophobic nature.

The compliance officer still decided to hit Gardyne with a notice of complaint but has now had to drop that ahead of the hearing.It is believed.
