Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Former QPR star Paul Parker has urged Michael Beale to break his silence on the prospect of an emotional move back to Rangers and let the Loftus Road legions know if he’s up for an Ibrox return.

The 42-year-old former Light Blues coach is odds-on to succeed axed Giovanni van Bronckhorst and return to his old stomping ground where he played a key role in helping Steven Gerrard lead the club to their first Scottish Premiership title in a decade.

That meant Celtic missed out on an historic league crown in a row. Beale followed Gerrard to Aston Villa from Glasgow a year ago before going out on his own in the summer when he took his first senior managerial role at QPR.
