The singer made an appearance on a repeat episode of Alan Titchmarsh's Love Your Weekend alongside his duet partner Alfie Boe and discussed this difficult time.

At the time, Michael was performing in the Les Miserables stage show but decided to quit after suffering a series of panic attacks.
