MIC's Joshua Patterson battles against the elements as he runs 76 marathons in 76 days

Made in Chelsea’s Joshua Patterson is undertaking what might seem like an impossible task to most of us and attempting to complete 76 marathons in just as many days.The London local joined the popular reality TV show back in 2015, where he was usually seen alongside cast members like Alex Mytton, Alexandra "Binky" Felstead, Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews.

Since then the 33 year old star has made a name for himself in the fitness industry and is currently embarking upon the mammoth task in the hopes of raising £1 million for Samaritans.

In his announcement of the campaign, which is sponsored by Grenade, Joshua explained: “Over the past five years, I’ve been exposing myself, both mentally and physically, to some of the most extreme challenges. “The next challenge I’m going to be undertaking is a marathon in all of the 76 cities in the UK, consecutively.” After weeks of gruelling training that included intense workouts in the gym and a painful cupping experience, Joshua set off on February 27 in Inverness.

On Instagram, he told his 399k followers: “I woke up this morning for the first marathon feeling really anxious, it’s hard not to focus on the number of marathons, you just have to find ways to break it down. “The reception I got from the locals this morning really humbled me, people taking the time to cheer me on really lifted my spirits as we set off.The body was strong today and for the first time I managed to stomach food.
