Met Office weather maps show what time Greater Manchester is expected to be hit by more snow tonight

A weather map from the Met Office has shown when snow is forecast to fall across Greater Manchester. Snow will begin falling tonight in some boroughs, with more to come tomorrow morning (Tuesday March 14).

A yellow weather warning was issued by forecasters this morning (March 13), which will come into effect later today. The warning will be in place from 5pm on Monday, to 10am on Tuesday morning.

The alert said: “Rain, sleet and snow followed by ice is likely to cause some impacts to travel. Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services. READ MORE: Met Office issues snow weather warning for TONIGHT for large parts of UK "[Expect] some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, and [there will] probably be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.” The warning covers all of Greater Manchester, and the rest of the north of England.

Mainland Scotland is also affected, as is most of Wales and parts of the Midlands. The precipitation map from the Met Office shows how much snow is predicted to fall, where and when.
