Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Meghan Markle went for gold in a stunning strapless gown as she was honoured at the Ms Foundation's Women of Vision Awards.The Duchess of Sussex dazzled in a $1,850 Joanna Ortiz gown with matching Tom Ford heels and a clutch bag by Carolina Herrera at the ceremony where she was presented with Ms Foundation's Women of Vision Award, recognising her "global advocacy to empower and advocate on behalf of women and girls".

And in a moving acceptance speech, which closed the gala in Manhattan, she said: "It's never too late to start. "You can be the visionary of your own life...There is still so much work to be done." Watched by her husband Prince Harry, smart in a dark tailored two-piece suit, and mum Doria Ragland the Duchess, who wore her long hair down and styled over one shoulder, said she was "inspired and driven' by the organisation". "It allowed me to recognise that part of my greater value and purpose in life was to advocate for those who felt unheard, to stand up to injustice, and to not be afraid of saying what is true and what is just and what is right," Meghan said.

Her award came as recognition for her work through her and Prince Harry's Archewell Foundation which has given away $3m to good causes since it was founded in 2020 including supporting Covid vaccinations and helping Afghan refugees.
