Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to relocate to the US and start their new lives together after quitting their royal duties.
But as the Duchess of Sussex is a US citizen, it could mean that Meghan could be called to give evidence in the suit against Prince Andrew, 61, which is being brought by Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
David Boies - the lawyer representing 38 year old Virginia - has said Meghan, 40, could play an important part as she could be depended on being the one who would "tell the truth" in the trial.
The lawyer added that Meghan is being considered to give evidence because she now lives in the US so she is "subject to the jurisdiction of the US courts".
