A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has spoken out after an episode of the American animated sitcom South Park appeared to mock the pair as part of its most recent series.

During one episode of the series, which was titled The Worldwide Privacy Tour, what seemed to be cartoon versions of Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, were branded “stupid” and “dumb”.

Referring to the episode, the characters weren’t technically identified as their real-life counterparts although the cartoons did have undeniable similarities to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The show description read: “The Prince of Canada and his wife try to find privacy and seclusion in a small mountain town.” What’s more, during the show the Princess was even decked out in a similar pink outfit to Meghan's 2018 Trooping the Colour ensemble, while the red-headed Prince promoted his book 'Waaagh’, with its front cover bearing a striking resemblance to Harry's own book Spare.

In a clip from the episode, character Kyle Broflloski appeared to complain about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as he sat in a school dining hall with his friends.
