Matt Damon & Ben Affleck Shared a Joint Bank Account as Young Actors
justjared.comWe knew Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were friends, but we didn’t know that they were so close that they shared a bank account for years!
The duo revealed that they were once banking buddies while appearing on The Bill Simons Podcast earlier this week. Matt described it as “a weird thing in retrospect” but explained how it all happened. Read more about Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s joint bank account… “It was unusual, but we needed the money for auditions,” Matt explained, with Ben adding that they were dedicated to helping each other out. “It was like, ‘You’re not going to be alone.
I’m not going to be alone. Let’s go out there and do this together,’” he recalled. Matt said that the shared money provided a sense of security. “As long as one of us had money we knew the power wasn’t going to get shut off,” he said.
One movie – 1992′s Geronimo left him with $35,000. That gave him a sense of security that they’d be alright for at least a year.
