Martin Lewis has put many people's minds at ease after revealing the exact cost of running Christmas lights this winter. Due to the current cost of living crisis, many in the UK have been concerned about their festive decorations piling more money on their already expensive bills.

But the money saving expert, who appeared on Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid to present his weekly financial advice segment, has been able to ease some of the pressure.

Chronicle Live reports that Martin had good news for viewers, as he said: "As long as you’ve got LED lights, a string of 100, which is a pretty decent amount, if you were to have them on for six hours a day for the month, it would cost you around 18 pence."
