Michael Gandolfini is going from one mob movie to the next. The “Many Saints of Newark” star is joining Paramount+’s “The Offer.” “The Offer” is about the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather.” This time, Gandolfini will play Andy Calhoun, a businessman who is attempting to buy Paramount.
Gandolfini played a younger Tony Soprano in “The Many Saints of Newark,” inhabiting the same role that his father, James, played for 8 seasons on HBO’s “The Sopranos.” In addition to Gandolfini, “Hunters” actor Zack Schor has joined as Fred Gallo, the assistant director running the set of “The Godfather.”The 10-episode series tells the behind-the-scenes story of “The Godfather,” considered among the greatest movies ever made.
