Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji has explained the differences between playing in the Premier League and the Bundesliga following his top flight debut at Wolves.
Akanji played well in City's Champions League victories over Sevilla and his former club Borussia Dortmund, leading to him earn a first Premier League start against Bruno Lage's side.
The 27-year-old's good start to life in Manchester continued as the Blues beat the West Midlands team 3-0. Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden all found the back of the net for City as the hosts were swept aside in the Saturday lunchtime kick off.
Speaking post-match, Akanji reflected on the differences between playing in England and Germany. "These games in the Premier League are more intense and more physical but I felt great.
