Manchester United fans threaten legal action after Chelsea fixture allocation slashed

Manchester United supporters have threatened legal action against Hammersmith & Fulham Council over their reduced ticket allocation for the Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge next week.

United had already sold their away allocation of 2,994 tickets for the game, but they've seen their allocation cut, despite holding discussions with Chelsea and the Met Police.

The force wanted to reduce the away allocation due to "policing concerns" and initially wanted it almost halved to allow just 1,500 away fans at Stamford Bridge.

United fought back against those proposals and reluctantly accepted the Met's decision to reduce the number of away supporters in attendance, which is now final at 2,370.
