According to ESPN, Veiga - who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool and Real Madrid - is on the Reds' wish list for this summer, with Erik ten Hag keen to strengthen his midfield options.
The Spaniard has impressed this season, scoring eight goals in 24 league games. His release clause is set at €40million. The report adds that Leeds and Bournemouth both made an approach in the January window to lure the midfielder to the Premier League.
It appears unlikely that Veiga will accept a new contract with Celta, with his current deal set to expire in June 2026.
