An 'inclusive' gentlemen's club in Manchester city centre has had its licence renewed. Whiskey Down on Lloyd Street, which is run by the team behind nightclub Factory 251, can continue operating as a sex entertainment venue.
The club, inspired by a visit to the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, opened in July 2019 following a £2.5m investment into the building.
This is the fourth year its sex establishment licence has been renewed by Manchester council. It comes after councillors renewed a lap dancing club's licence despite claims that its prominent location next to Deansgate train station makes Manchester look 'seedy'.
