Manchester City and England defender Kyle Walker will not face criminal charges or any further action after being questioned by police over an alleged incident in a Wilmslow bar, police said tonight.
Cheshire Constabulary last week began looking into the matter and the 32-year-old volunteered himself for questioning on Thursday, the same day he was included in the latest England squad for upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers by manager Gareth Southgate.
But now, the force has revealed the matter has been resolved with what's been described by police as an 'out of court disposal' and is considered 'closed'.
An out of court disposal is described on the website of Cheshire's police and crime commissioner, John Dwyer, as a mechanism 'to deal with low-level crime and anti-social behaviour'.
