David Beckham
David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

Gary Neville says he would concede changing the name of Old Trafford if it meant there would be a change of ownership at Manchester United.

Fans have become increasingly vocal about their displeasure with how the Glazers have been running the club. Several protests have already been held this season and frequent anti-Glazer chants are now commonplace during matches.

Supporters are demanding that a number of investment ventures are implemented at the club, including a revamp of Old Trafford.

It’s one of the points Sir Jim Ratcliffe pointed to when he declared his interest in a long-term takeover.
