A 19-year-old man has been detained under the Mental Health Act after a man was 'stabbed at random' in Moss Side. The attack happened at around 6.10am on Saturday morning at the corner of Princess Parkway and Claremont Road.
The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital from the scene. In an initial statement, GMP said enquiries established that the offender was 'unknown to the victim'.
