Traffic officers stopped the white Ford van near Birch Services at the junction for Heywood. They spotted two cracks across the front windscreen of the vehicle.
Officers said 'the driver and his boss thought it was ok' to drive with the cracks on the glass. He was handed a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) at the scene.
