A man has told of his shock to find a neighbour had used his garden to build a small house. The homeowner took over a house his grandfather had handed down to him before making the bizarre discovery. The anonymous man hadn't visited the property for two years due to living on the other side of the area.

He did, however, make sure his payments on the property were up to date before a clash of words with the neighbour, reports the Mirror. The neighbour had taken the decision, after believing the property was abandoned, to put his own mark on it but the man was forced to give him an ultimatum after his own plans for the garden were disrupted.

Taking to Reddit, he said: "My grandfather gave me his house since he is now living with my parents. Because it is on the other side of the state, last time I visited it was over two years ago.

Now, I am planning on building a pool, a shed, improving the garden, you get it. "When I visited yesterday, I noticed there is a small house and small playground for my neighbour's kids [in my garden]."When I talked to him he said that because no one was there for a year he thought It was abandoned."In response, his neighbour tried to open a dialogue about the man selling the land, but he refused.
