Man rushed to hospital after two-vehicle smash on busy M80

Falkirk this afternoon. Officers from Police Scotland and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service raced to the two-vehicle smash near Junction 6 at Denny, just after 4pm.Cops have closed a section of the motorway southbound between J9 and J8 following the crash.

It's not known if the man is badly injured. Traffic Scotland says motorists should avoid the area, adding that traffic is starting to build.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.05pm on Wednesday, 3 February, officers were called to a report of a two car crash on the M80 southbound near J6, Denny."Officers are currently at the scene and a man has been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.".
