Man rescued by emergency crews after car crashes into garden and shuts road off

A man was 'rescued' by fire crews and assessed by paramedics after a car hit a fence - pushing another car into the garden of a house.

Emergency services were called to Cherry Lane in Sale, Trafford, earlier tonight - Saturday. It's not known whether the man - or anyone else - was injured in the incident. Fire crews were at the scene for two hours. The road was closed as a result at the junction with Hurst Avenue, according to Transport for Greater Manchester.

Emergency services were called at 6.20pm. Two fire engines from Sale and Altrincham stations attended together with a specialist fire
