Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A man was left with a head injury after being attacked with a weapon in a 'disorder' in Oldham. Officers were called to the scene of the incident on Coleridge Road just after 1.10am this morning (Sunday).

A man was found injured at the scene. Police said his head injury - which is not believed to be life-threatening - was suspected to have been caused by a weapon.

The M.E.N understands that a section of the street was cordoned off by police in the early hours. The cordon had been lifted by around 9am this morning, though some police tape remained at the scene.
