A man was treated in hospital for a month after being attacked and stamped on in Manchester city centre. Greater Manchester Police is today (April 8) appealing for information about the assault, which left the victim with a bleed on the brain.
GMP says he was approached by a man at 11am on January 5, on the steps next to the AO Arena and close to Victoria station. The victim was then approached again on the footpath towards the A56 under the bridge, where he was attacked.
The victim described his attacker as an Asian male in his 30s, around 5ft 7ins to 5ft 10ins tall, and of medium build. Detective Constable Oliver Maddox, of GMP's City of Manchester district, said: "Because the victim was in hospital for a month, the crime wasn't reported to us.
