Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Man dies after being hit by car on Greater Manchester street with woman arrested

A man has tragically died after being hit by a car in Wigan. Officers were called out to Pembroke Road, in Marsh Green, at 5.58am on Thursday (January 9).

Tragically, the pedestrian - a man in his 30s - died at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services. A woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She has since been bailed pending further enquiries, Greater Manchester Police confirmed this morning (January 10). Pembroke Road, off Kitt Green Road, was closed for a number of hours on Thursday following the collision.

Enquiries are ongoing and witnesses are being urged to come forward. A GMP spokesperson added: "Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
