Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko has admitted that he and his Ukraine teammates have been dreaming about reaching the World Cup after moving to within one win of the finals in Qatar.
They beat Scotland 3-1 in their play-off semi-final at Hampden Park on Wednesday night, setting up a winner-takes-all clash with Wales in Cardiff on Sunday.
Ukraine — who saw their clash with Scotland originally postponed because of Russia's invasion of the country earlier this year — produced a heroic performance, with City ace Zinchenko at the heart of it.
Andriy Yarmolenko and Roman Yaremchuk found the back of the net either side of half-time to fire Ukraine into a commanding 2-0 lead.
