The German midfielder is yet to feature for Pep Guardiola's side this season after testing positive for the disease on September 21.
Gundogan has been self-isolating for ten days but as a result the Leeds United clash came too early for him, fitness-wise. He'll be available for selection once again after the international break, when City take on Arsenal on October 17.
