Man City player Ilkay Gundogan opens up on COVID-19 recovery and makes plea to public

straight to your inbox Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has opened up on his battle with COVID-19 and has urged the public to respect the social distancing measures put in place by the government.

The German midfielder is yet to feature for Pep Guardiola's side this season after testing positive for the disease on September 21.

Gundogan has been self-isolating for ten days but as a result the Leeds United clash came too early for him, fitness-wise. He'll be available for selection once again after the international break, when City take on Arsenal on October 17.
