Manchester City will offer Erling Haaland a brand new £500,000-per-week contract this summer in a bid to fend off interest from Real Madrid, according to reports.

Haaland joined City for just £51million last summer after having his release clause at Borussia Dortmund activated. The Norwegian penned a five-year deal worth a reported £375,000-per-week, which is the joint highest in the Premier League alongside Kevin De Bruyne and David de Gea - albeit with add-ons that take it far higher.

Real Madrid have been interested in the 22-year-old for some time, and 42 goals in 37 appearances this season has only intensified their desire to land bring the goalscoring machine to the Bernabeu, a rumour which Haaland's agent Rafaela Pimenta fuelled by admitting it would be a 'dream' move for all players.
