Man charged with murder of Elle Edwards on Christmas Eve as tributes paid to 'beautiful' sister

A man has been charged with the murder of Elle Edwards, with tributes paid to the "beautiful" 26-year-old by her grieving sister.

Connor Chapman, 22, of Houghton Road, Woodchurch, also faces two counts of attempted murder and three counts of unlawful and malicious wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, as well as possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.He faces further charges of possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life, and handling stolen goods, listed in court documents as a Mercedes A Class vehicle, reports the Mirror.

Merseyside Police said Chapman has been remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court on Friday.The investigation into Elle's death in the Wallasey area of Merseyside continues.

She had been out with friends at the The Lighthouse pub when she died. Officers have asked the public to use their Public Portal at mipp.police.uk if they have information or footage, which they can upload directly to the investigation team.Tributes have poured in for the beautician after her death on December 24, with friends and family speaking movingly of the 26-year-old.
