Man charged following burglary at much-loved curry house

A man has been charged following a burglary at a much-loved curry house. Cash and an iPad were allegedly stolen from Royal Balti House, in Farnworth, during a break-in on November 21.

David Brooks, 39, of Presto Street, Farnworth, has been charged with burglary. READ MORE: The search for a 20-year-old student 'not familiar with Manchester who could have got lost' He appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court this morning (Tuesday December 21).

PC Kelly from the Farnworth town centre neighbourhood policing team reassured the local community that other burglaries in the town centre are also being investigated.
