Man attacked on Kilmaurs train station platform as transport police hunt men with dog

A man has been attacked by multiple people at an Ayrshire train station this weekend.The victim was assaulted on the platform at Kilmaurs railway station on Friday night just before 9.30pm.British Transport Police are now appealing for information into the incident after trains were halted from stopping in the village on Friday night and Saturday morning.ScotRail stopped serving Kilmaurs at 10.30pm and trains didn't resume service at the station until 12.30pm on Saturday.Investigating officers are releasing descriptions of two people they would like to speak to.The first is a white male, with dark hair and wearing a black Aquascutum hoodie with the hood up.

He also wearing green/blue tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.The second is a white male who was wearing a black and grey Berghaus hooded top with the hood up.

He was also wearing black trousers, dark trainers and was in possession of a small black dog on a leash.Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40.
