Man arrested on suspicion of assault after teenager hit by car in Stockport

A man has been arrested following reports a teenager was hit by a car in Stockport. Officers were called at 7.20pm on Sunday, April 25, to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car on St Ann's Road North, Heald Green.

Emergency services attended and the teen was taken to hospital. The 18-year-old sustained minor injuries and has since been discharged.

The car, which is believed to be a white Volkswagen Golf, failed to stop at the scene of the collision. An investigation was launched and on Saturday, May 1, officers arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of a section 18 assault.
