A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged dog attack on a six-year-old girl. The girl suffered injuries caused by dogs on Ackers Lane on Carrington, Trafford, on Sunday afternoon (March 26).
She was rushed to hospital following the incident, where she remains and is receiving treatment. Bernard Valentine, 35, appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court this afternoon charged with several offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act in connection with the incident. READ MORE: Gunman opened fire at house and taxi office to send 'powerful message' in gangland shootings Mr Valentine, of Ackers Lane, Carrington, is accused of eight counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control that caused injury.
Six of the charges relate to the alleged dog attack on the girl. The other two charges relate to an alleged incident on the same street on December 20, 2022, when a man - aged in his 20s - and his dog were injured.
Mr Valentine has also been charged with possession of cannabis. He appeared in the dock wearing a grey jumper and matching tracksuit bottoms.
