Major Coronation Street couple splits after 11 years?

After the couple first got together, way back in 2012, the only real trouble they faced was the small (alright, it was very big) matter of Beth actually already being married and therefore committing bigamy when her and Kirk tied the knot.
Sadly, this couple is going to face quite the challenge next week, as word gets around that Beth did in fact slap Hope (Isabella Flanagan), and has lied about it ever since.
Following Cilla the Chinchilla’s death, which occurred as a result of Peanut the dog killing her (yes), Hope attempted to get revenge by making it seem as though Kirk and Beth’s dog had bit her.
While this was a lie, Hope has been entirely truthful about Beth hitting her and soon, Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) realises she wasn’t fibbing when she approaches the young girl, and she responds by flinching and begging her mum not to hit her.
