Mairead Ronan is one of the best-known presenters in Ireland, as she hosts the very popular Ireland’s Fittest Family, and also presents her own show on Today FM.

However, the world of media and broadcasting wasn’t always on the cards for her, as after leaving school, Mairead went on to do a degree in Human Resources before realising it wasn’t for her.

It was the presenter’s mother who gave her the courage and wise words to follow her broadcasting dreams and it’s something she will always remember, as her mother later died on the eve of her 21st birthday.
