Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes were granted permission to stay on Married At First Sight UK after requesting to stay on the show as a couple despite recent drama.

Matt, 32, and Whitney, 31, decided to pursue their connection despite being married to other people on the E4 show. The pair then asked the relationship experts - Paul Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas - if they could stay in the experiment as a new couple.Tonight's show showed Paul, Mel and Charlene trying to come to a conclusion as they sat down with Whitney and Matt, who explained why they felt they should be able to stay on MAFS together.

Mel, Paul and Charlene weren't best pleased with the duo's explanations and Paul told them both that they had "broke the code" before saying that he could not "endorse" them going back into the experiment as a new couple.

However, he then said he could tell Whitney is really into Matt and had noticed a change her behaviour, with Mel revealing that the experts had checked out the "science" which showed the couple to be a good match on paper.
