Macy Gray is calling for a redesign of the American flag. The 53-year-old “I Try” singer wrote an essay ahead of Juneteenth and she directed her comments at President Biden, Vice President Harris, and members of Congress. “The American flag has been hijacked as code for a specific belief.

God bless those believers, they can have it. Like the Confederate, it is tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect. It no longer represents democracy and freedom.

2,167 new Covid cases confirmed as today's Public Health Scotland infection rate data published

Scotland as the number of people being treated for the illness in hospital rises again.Figures have been published this afternoon by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland as part of the national COVID-19 daily briefing.Nationally, 171 people are in hospital which is an increase of 13 from yesterday. There are currently 18 people with the disease being treated in ICU.The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran is up 114 to 19,543.Of the new cases, 51 were from East Ayrshire and 51 were attributed to North Ayrshire.
