Macclesfield's Karriss Artingstall revels in extending Team GB's boxing legacy at Tokyo Olympics

That streak is guaranteed to continue after Macclesfield’s Karriss Artingstall secured at least a bronze medal by reaching the semi-finals of the women’s featherweight.

The 26-year-old did not have it easy, edging past Australian Skye Nicolson 3-2 in a tight encounter. With it all to play for heading into the final round, Artingstall went on the attack and was rewarded for her efforts, starting a medal rush that GB will hope gathers steam with nine of the 11 fighters entered in Tokyo still in contention.
