Following the news, Luca took to social media himself to make a statement to the couple's fans. Luca said: "Switched my phone back on after taking some time out to clear my head after an emotional afternoon to thousands of messages and news articles about my breakup." He continued: "I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways." Gemma, 19, said it was a 'difficult decision' to end her romance with the former fishmonger, 23, who she was last pictured with at the start of the month.
