'Loving son, father and brother' dies in hospital after being struck by car

A 37-year-old man who died in hospital after being stuck by a car in Edinburgh has been described as a “a loving son, father and brother” by his devastated family.

Joseph Wakeley, from Edinburgh, was hit by a car on Millerhill Road near the Sheriffhall Roundabout, around 9am on Thursday August 4.

He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh but died in hospital on Saturday afternoon.
